In a move to recognize and retain the dedicated faculty and staff at Christoval Independent School District, the school board has approved the disbursement of a $3000 retention stipend to all employees. This decision, made during the latest school board meeting, reflects the district's commitment to supporting and valuing its workforce in the face of ongoing challenges and changes within the education sector.

The retention stipend serves as a significant gesture of appreciation for the hard work, and dedication demonstrated by Christoval ISD employees during the 2024-25 school year. It acknowledges the vital role played by educators, administrators, support staff, and everyone else involved in ensuring the smooth functioning of the district and the continued education of its students.

Superintendent Clint Askins expressed his gratitude towards the school board for recognizing the efforts of the employees and for prioritizing their well-being. He highlighted the importance of retaining experienced and passionate individuals within the district, emphasizing that the retention stipend is a tangible way to show appreciation for their continued commitment. The $3000 retention stipend will be paid in $1500 increments during the months of December and May and will disbursed to all full time employees of Christoval ISD, regardless of their role or position within the organization.
